Horn Concerto No. 1 in D major K. 412/514 (386b)
Piano reduction by Henri Kling
The French-born horn player Henri Kling edited Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's horn concertos for Breitkopf & Härtel. Turning his efforts on the editions for horn and piano, he prepared the piano reduction himself and drew upon his vast experience to provide markings in the solo part. In subsequent printings the editions for horn and piano were supplemented by a part for horn in F, thus making them ideally suited for the performance practice.
