Deze 12 katernen werden tussen 1462-6 en 1480 gedateerd en zijn achteraf verzameld in dit omvangrijk koorboek, rijkelijk versierd met miniaturen. Het volledige werk is waarschijnlijk geschreven en gebruikt in de Bourgondische hofkapel in Brugge. Het bevat in elk geval de wapenschilden van de Bourgondische hertogen Philips de Goede en Karel de Stoute. Dit manuscript wordt beschouwd als het belangrijkste handschrift van de tweede helft van de 15de eeuw. Het bevat niet minder dan 11 missen, 3 magnificats, 1 hymne en 7 motetten gecomponeerd door Busnois, Dufay, Frye, Ockeghem en vele anderen.
