Een Nederlandse pianomethode, geschreven in de jaren vijftig van de 20ste eeuw door de bekende pianopedagoog Cornelius Berkhout (1892 - 1958), een leerling van de beroemde pianist Dirk Schäfer en gedurende veertig jaar leraar aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Met een Voorwoord door Martin Kloos en een Ten Geleide van Jan Wijn. Met vijf Appendices, waaronder een biografische schets van Berkhout en een uitvoerig essay over Nederlandse pianomethodische geschriften in het algemeen.
