Widely regarded as one of the finest Baritone Sax players of all time, this edition of the Jazz Play Along series presents 10 songs by Gerry Mulligan, complete with a CD of inspiring accompaniments. Mulligan's compositions played a vital role in the development of the 'cool' sound through his work with Miles Davis. Alongside Chet Baker he formed one of the first successful 'pianoless' quartets, relying instead upon the power of the solo instruments and the musical imagination of his audience.

This set contains a versatile Play-along CD for improvisation, study and performance, and with a choice of backing tracks (A split track with melody, removable bass and piano parts and a full stereo rhythm section), and easy to read, authentic and accurate lead sheets, players of all instruments will enjoy these terrific pieces.
