Flavio Bar: Clarinet spring
2 clarinettes et orchestre d'harmonie
|Editeur||Scomegna Edizioni Musicali|
With its A-B-A structure, this work clearly harkens back to Vivaldi's Spring. The first part sees the two clarinets chasing one another in a busy Baroque-like dialogue, suggesting themes that are then taken up by the tutti. The central Adagio takes the form of a canon, with the soloists opening and then leaving the development to the other instruments. The composition ends with the repeat of the opening Allegro.
