Piano Sonata in f sharp minor op. 81

Beschrijving

Johann Nepomuk Hummel was one of the most famous pianists of his time, who could even compete with Beethoven. Among his numerous compositions for piano solo, the Sonata in F-sharp minor op. 81 stands out in particular for its perfect blend of Classical form and Romantic expressivity. At the same time, the technically demanding work inspires with its dramatic contrasts. No wonder that younger contemporaries such as Schubert or Mendelssohn were influenced by this milestone of piano literature!
The carefully reviewed edition is based on the Viennese first edition from 1819 and combines modern, clear notation with optimal page layout – ensuring unlimited enjoyment for pianists!
